Huntsville, Utah
Huntsville is a town in Weber County, Utah, United States. Huntsville was founded in 1860 by Jefferson Hunt. Huntsville is located East of Ogden, Utah by Pinview Dam. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.7 square miles , of which, 0.7 square miles of it is land and 0.1 square miles of it (9.46%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 649 people, 194 households, and 163 families residing in the town. The population density was 965.3 people per square mile. There were 219 housing units at an average density of 325.7/sq mi. The racial makeup of the town was 98.77% White, 0.15% African American, 0.31% Native American, 0.15% from other races, and 0.62% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.08% of the population.
There were 194 households out of which 46.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 70.6% were married couples living together, 10.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 15.5% were non-families. 13.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 7.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.35 and the average family size was 3.70.
In the town the population was spread out with 33.7% under the age of 18, 11.1% from 18 to 24, 21.4% from 25 to 44, 21.9% from 45 to 64, and 11.9% who were 65 years of age or older.
